Evaluation criteria

Crystal Contest is judged using an open system, where works are evaluated individually without being compared to the works of other participants. The jury awards prizes based on the merit of the piece, skill, imagination, concept, and creative potential. Participants must convince the judges with their work, rather than compete against others.

Each participant must confirm that the exhibited work is their own creation. In the case of a proxy model, this must be reported in advance. The judges have the right to handle the model if it is securely attached to a base or stand, and will do so with utmost care.

In each category, at least three models by different authors will be awarded, provided the minimum number of participants is met. More than one first, second, or third place may be awarded. Winners will receive a trophy and a material prize from sponsors.

The Crystal Contest has two levels: Standard and Master. Standard is intended for beginners and intermediate painters, while Master is for highly experienced painters. The goal of the contest is to distinguish between those who paint as a hobby or are just starting out, and those who paint at a professional or advanced level. Each category has clearly defined parameters, but the jury reserves the right to move a work to a different category or higher level.
